This is where personality matters...

 In your astrology chart you're supposed to move how your transits move. Moving in a vortex keeps us alive. It's the space and the failure that progresses us as much as the closure and success does. And if we ever go too far to the left where our ego lies, or to the right where our ego dies, then we'll have imperfection.

Imbalance is the way of the earth. To us our earth is a perfect ten. To outer space it's ovoid, lumpy, misshapen. So we have to remember to check our "blindspots" in our personalities to remember we are misshapen too. The effect is humility and knowledge. The same applies to us for the planets. They're the training wheels, they're the parents. We listen. 

But at the same time, in healing, your natal chart matters, and your personal configuration matters. For example, one might know that the root chakra associates with the color red. And so as a healer when moon is in aries, trine mars in leo on a given day, one might heal the root chakra generally speaking. 

But if the moon is in Libra not in aspect to any mars in leo? But if it trines your natal mars in Gemini? What do I work with? I work with the diamond ray of clarity, the buddha ray of non-attachment which is the healing aspect of Gemini; because this is a day when your bodily-etheric energy is active, your signature in your root center. 

In effect, you'll see opportunities to your own unique identity open up, rather than just a general opening as per the traditional root chakra red ray healing. Someone with a diamond ray influence upon the root chakra will have a security sense and knowledge acquisition through life experiences of duality and attachment, desire and letting go, thirsting and resisting, and identity and non identity. This will be different from someone who has a root chakra influenced by the orange ray via Taurus, who's experiences would be with the mysteries, Vulcan, themes of power under pressure, and spiritual acceptance, who will benefit under shade and cover unlike the mars Gemini who benefits under openness. 

So you see your natal setup matters and is active when activated, even if other respective planets aren't. And your own bodily-etheric setup can be used to heal your energy centers and re-attune them specifically to your personality and growth.
